This is
what I call my Dream Machine. I had discussed this project with
Al Thompson owner
of Al's
Speed Shop in North Aurora, IL and he said he would build the chassis.
He started this
in March of
1963. The first run with the dragster was on May 4th 1963 at
Oswego Dragway
during the Don
Maynard Memorial Meet.

This
picture has the motor from the previous dragster. Now a Isky 404
cam has been
added
along with being brought up to 284 ciI, ported and relieved and Chevy
exhaust
valves
put in. We are now building the second motor.

During
the next series of 6 pictures I am going to show off my dream.
Then we will go to
someaction pictures. Remember if 1 motor is good, then 2 must be
great.

The
motors were coupled together using heavy duty sprockets and double
roller chain.
